Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” – Andre Gide

Travelling is great due to the fact that each and every person can find something they are unused to do, or to find a place they wished they found earlier because of such beauty that the place have. To discover the beauty which the nature possess, is the true adventure. “We live in a world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we can seek them through our eyes open”- Jawaharial Nehru. The main thing here is to be open-minded and positive in your aspirations and world’s perception. Just hold your breath and observe the beauty of the certain place. At such moments you will start to think about how our life is blessed with the richness of our nature, what beauty it offers us and how important it is to value each moment of our lives.
Many wish to travel, to explore and to fuel their wanderlust souls. A lot of people love mountains, valleys, sky adventures but everyone loves beaches, and lucky enough, Philippines is one the countries who have the finest beaches in the world. Philippines is one of the dream destinations that our favorite artists wants to visit and experience. Hollywood artists, or even our Korean pop idols wants to travel in the country. Cebu is one of the beach escapades written bucketlist of these artists, and lucky we are that we are living here at their dream destination! Imagine?! How blessed we are to be born in such a breathtaking island that everyone loves to visit or even live in.
The Philippines’ Queen City of the South, Cebu is an island province in the Visayas, and is one of the most progressive provinces in the country. Amidst the tall buildings, economic development and other infrastructures, if you want a more laid-back yet modern lifestyle, this is the place for you.

Many beaches are newly discovered, but there are more than a half of it are still not discover by tourists. Mactan, Lapu-lapu is famous to its numerous beaches that barely took the hearts and souls of everyone who step into the island. It also boasts its pristine waters and white sand beaches, which are all a must-see for both fellow Filipinos and foreigners, especially during summertime.
Many of us wants to relax and feel the nature to release stress and wants to reconnect with the nature. But what if you the beach fees and amenities will give you stress as well? Lucky enough that I am going to unravel a secret destination that will surely make you heart drop, and that will make you pack your things up with your beach friends in just 2 minutes. Are you ready?

Buyong beach is a beach which is not yet developed by the local government. It is located in Buyong Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, and is very famous among local group of friends or barkadas who wants to go beach outings with very affordable costs. Only few people know this place so you will surely own the whole place and the beach like it is yours.
This is just a 2-minute walk from the beach that has white sand and clear blue water. The beauty of the island is well-suited for a group of friends or couples who wants quiet and uncrowded place where they can relax and to strengthen their friendship or relationships– now that’s the kind of vacation I’m talking about!
Before you go to the island, please make sure you got all the things that you need, because there are no 10-step stores there. The nearest sari-sari store is a 5-minute walk, but it is not like everything you need is available in the store. So make sure your outfit is ready as well as your food and drinks. And most importantly a plastic for your wet clothes, this tip is super easy but if you forgot to bring a plastic, it will surely ruin your day (been there, done that). The island has no comfort room or changing room so bring big towels or (pantapis/sarong) and a little help from your friend to cover you up while you are changing your clothes lol.
Low cost adventure but the relaxation and sensation that the place will give you is priceless. If you want to experience the island, you can take a jeepney going to Maribago, Lapu-lapu. And tell the driver to drop you of in Blue Water Park. From JCentre Mall, the fair is only 14 pesos per person only and the entrance fee of Buyong Beach is only 10 pesos, you read that right 10 PESOS!!!. The Buyong beach is beside the Blue Water Park. You can ask locals there on how to get there. They are very kind and friendly. Just be careful and PLEASE. LEAVE. NO. TRASH. to preserve the island. Remember there are no staffs there and it is an unknown island. Please be a responsible laagan.
Loving the place is different from just liking it. Because if you like the place, the ambiance, the feeling that it gave you or the relaxation the waves gave you together with your beer cans and potato chips. You plainly leave it there not minding the trash you left, or you bring home the beach sands into your home. But if you love the place, you grow together with the place, the people and the nature itself. You understand it, and you become to take care of it. You do not love it by the feeling that it gives you, you love it by the way it reflects into your perspectives. You will not swim across the waves, you let it become a part of you, and you will let the waves take you. And if you love the place, you will start to collect trashes from the beach sand and start to take care of the nature itself. Travel. Love. Live.
